Paraidolia is a series of machine-generated drawings created from data collected by Arduino-based ghost detectors. In 1939, Soviet scientist Semyon Kirlian discovered a method to capture the electromagnetic aura of objects by applying high-voltage currents to items placed on a photographic plate. Kirlian’s process revealed the coronal discharge around everyday objects, resulting in a form of “spirit photography.” This work applies a similar principle to generate deterministic drawings.
