We are thrilled to announce our first time presenting at Plural. We are bringing four artists. Our curation this year has a major focus on Quebec, specifically Gatineau! More information to come in the following weeks.
Plural celebrates the best of contemporary art in Canada. Created by and for the galleries, the fair presents and brings together the plurality of voices and works in contemporary art from across the country. It elevates art market practices through a rigorous selection of galleries presenting thoughtfully chosen artists and artworks; and through accessible programming that addresses current issues and questions in the field of art. Plural fosters the discovery of new voices and forms of expression in leading contemporary art and cultivates a sense of collectivity within the Canadian art community.
The Contemporary Art Galleries Association@agac_canada is proud to announce the list of 44 exhibitors that will take part in the 2025 edition of Plural Art Fair at the Grand Quay in Montreal’s Old Port. From April 11 to 13, visitors will get to discover, admire and acquire artworks by over 500 artists in a spectacular and enchanting setting at the heart of the city.
On the first floor of the Grand Quay, the public will get to explore the booths of 37 commercial galleries showcasing the very best of Canadian contemporary art.
Participating galleries from seven Canadian cities were chosen for their outstanding work and meaningful contribution to the sector, representing the very best of the country’s contemporary art. The selection committee in charge of evaluating the applications was made up of three visual arts professionals: Jessica Bradley (Independent curator and consultant), Florence-Agathe Dubé-Moreau (Independent curator) and Anne-Marie St-Jean Aubre (Curator of Quebec and Canadian Contemporary Art, Montreal Museum of Fine Arts).
